Göttingen

PLEA e.V.

P.L.E.A. e.V. is a non-profit, non-denominational association from Göttingen that does not belong to any political party. It was founded in 2007 by African diaspora academics and former development workers. Their approach is to work together and on an equal footing with partners in Africa to develop solution strategies for existing development problems. In cooperation with motivated development agencies in Africa, they promote incomplete and neglected development dynamics, so their support covers all areas of life for which it is requested or needed.

Migrationszentrum für Stadt und Landkreis Göttingen

The Migration Center is a counselling, education and meeting centre under the auspices of the Diakonieverband of the Protestant-Lutheran church district of Göttingen. Its goals are the social and professional integration of migrants and support for their self-help potential. Social pedagogues, lawyers, language course instructors, interpreters and an administrator make up the team, supported by interns and volunteers. The international team is committed to the humanitarian values of the Protestant Church and works according to the integration plan of Lower Saxony and the principles for refugee social work of the Lutheran Church of Hanover.
